Can anyone serve in the forces? Who's doing the interviewing for these jobs? Where is their sense of pride ? Can you test someone's patriotism before they are given a gun? The Tennessean | Tennessean.com Nashville is in the running to host the World Cup in either 2018 or 2022. Read our special coverage Sunday to find out what that could mean for the city. Meanwhile, tell us: On a scale of 1 (please no) to 5 (this would be awesome), tell us how much you'd like to see the World Cup come to town.

I remember how much people hated, and I mean hated, the World Cup when it was in Knoxville at Neyland Stadium. What it will mean for the city of Nashville is a lot of wasted tax payer money and that's it. It's a political money pit just like the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville. On a scale of 1 to 5? Since 1 is the ... Read Morelowest it's a 1 but I don't live in Davidson County and you people will need something to fill up that crazy half-billion dollar tax-payer funded convention center, or the new 10-billion dollar one that will replace the old half-billion dollar one by 2018 so go ahead.

I had live in the Orlando area when WC94 was played. The tax payers help with building soccer fields that the kids had to play on afterward. The amount of vistors help full with hotels. The resturants and night spots were extra busy except at Disney World. They did not want to support soccer, so the international soccer fans did not go there. The area made money.

I see this everyday working w/seniors in their homes. What usually happens is that they become so confused, that they are almost forced to go somewhere else. They also can have physical limitations that force them to live elsewhere. Remember that some of our elderly have lived in their same community for 30, 40 and even 50 yrs. It is difficult ... I am a caregiver! My LOL (little old lady) is a 89+ Alzheimer's victim. It isn't even remotely easy. I have learned more about me that imaginable. It is rewarding beyond words. You are welcome to off board message me if you would like to meet her or talk to her family about how we came to care for her at home

I work with seniors & families everyday. I have been working in senior care for 15+ years in Home Health & then Assisted living. Sometimes it becomes unsafe for seniors to stay in their homes due to dementia or other health soncerns..even having fulltime caregivers can become unsafe if no one is closely monitoring those caregivers. If someone ... Read Morechooses to stay at home over going into an assisted living- I would highly recommend using a liscened agency to provide in home care. I am a co-ower & administrator of an assisted living & secured alz care in middle TN- my advice~please CHECK OUT who is caring for your loved ones while you are at work, out of town etc also supervise & inspect the care on a regular basis, even if it is your best friend providing the care!...the benefits of assisted living is numerous- we do extensive background checks, drug screens, training & there is supervision..the benefits to residents include socialization w peers, nurses, independence from relying on family for all aspects of daily living, etc..I am all for CHOICES for seniors!!! John I just read Climer's piece on who the Titans should draft at QB if we need to. And I agree that the Titans should draft Jimmy Clausen. He's the only QB that is draft eligible right now that can make throws and has the composure to throw when his team is down. Exhibit A: the Notre Dame v USC game where he almost came back from a 21 point deficit.

Nope, the *original* home of the Opry was the WSM studio. As a matter of fact, the current "Grand Ole Opry House" has now hosted the Opry for a longer period of time than the Ryman did.

Smart game plan; easy to execute! Need to follow this the rest of the way..one game at a time. Its a 9 game season and should be played, coached and viewed that way! Go Titans and dont anyway dare knock Collins for the 0-6 start!! It very well could have been 3-0 going to Jax with a completely different mindset!!!
