They are so cute!! I want one!! My dog is a sweety also, but I adopted him as an adult. He loves to play and cuddle. I work with a lot of other dogs since I am a pet sitter and dog walker. I have had some pretty neat dogs and puppies.

That Fish Place - That Pet Place Not your average home aquarium! This is a great video...it shows just how big the little fish from the pet store can get!

This ain't your grandma's goldfish bowl! It may look like an exhibit at your local aquarium, but it's actually the largest home aquarium.

Nikki Fisher

Nikki Fisher I really want to get a red-eared slider, but I don't know much about them. Any suggestions about reading material for them? Thank you!

Thanks Matt and thank you Frank. I have a couple more questions. I have a 20 gallon tank to start with. Is that too small for a red eared slider? Also do u guys sell them as babies? what else would I need to get besides a big filter? And what size filter for the 20 gal? Thanks again for all the help!

Well Nikki, the 20 gallon may suffice for a short time, especially if you have small turtles, but they grow quickly, and the sooner the better on the larger tank. We do not sell turtles less than 4 inches, most are significantly larger than that. You'll need a filter with plenty of mechanical filtration functionality as turtles produce alot of ... See Morewaste and tend to be messy eaters too. Your 20 gallon will not be filled, so filter size will depend on how full you plan on keeping the tank. Stop in and speak to someone in our reptile department, or give them a call...they'll be happy to explore some options with you to get you started right.

Matt Rouzer

Matt Rouzer Ok.... Got a question for you Frank... I am looking to purchase Armadillo Lizards and I want 2 of them. Is it ok to get one now and one later or is it better to introduce them both th their new home at the same time? My problem is that every time I come down to the store you onle ever have 1 in stock!!!

Hi Matt, sorry for the delay in response time. It’s easier to choose 2 that are already getting along, but they are fairly social and so it is not too difficult to introduce new animals. Just be sure the sizes are similar, and try to avoid getting 2 males. Best, Frank.

Kimberly Slade Sulzer

Kimberly Slade Sulzer Hello! I wanted to ask if you guys ever get Ficus Pumila Quercifolia in stock. I have spoken with a gentleman in the reptiles area several times over the last year, but it's never in, and I'm not allowed to purchase clippings from your Azureus tank.
Thanks!

Hi Kimberly, I'm a fan of that creeping ficus, too. I bought a start the last time it was in stock back in the spring...I'll talk to someone in the reptile room to see if I can get you any info.

They don't currently have any rooted starts, but I spoke to the Reptile Room manager and she said you can call ahead and speak to either her (Summer Caldwell) or ask for Tom and they can sell you some cuttings of the ficus. They root easily in moist soil.

Bella would be even happier if you would stock her food...Dick Van Patton's duck & potato canned food! (due to food allergies this is all she can eat).

Hello Matt, Frank Indiviglio here.

I’m assuming you have Cordylus tropidosternum, as that is the most commonly available species? - Please check out this 2 part article for a photo and care basics. You can post further questions there or write back as well. We stock the fixtures and UV bulbs mentioned, as well as substrate, hiding caves, heat bulbs and other items you’ll need.

As for your other tank, leopard geckos are one of the best lizards to start off with – captive bred, no UVB needs, handleable and available in wide variety of “designer” patterns and colors; can be bred as well if you care to do that.... See More

Good luck and please keep me posted. A happy and healthy New Year to you and yours,

Best regards, Frank Indiviglio.
