theMovement Philippians 3:7-9 7 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ

theMovement Heb 12:4-11 "My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6 For whom the LORD loves He chastens...11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

theMovement Philippians 1:3-7 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, 5 for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

theMovement Jobey's Intro lifeGroup is starting up tonight! If you are not in a lifeGroup and want to check it out, come by theMovement tonight at 6.30p. Childcare is available, as well as coffee and some yum desserts. We'll be going through the lifeGroup Homework that you get on Sundays (also available at www.themovement.org on our sermon page).

theMovement James 1:2-6 says, "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God... But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

theMovement 1 Corinthians 2:9 says "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." Joseph knows all about this before it was even written!

theMovement I find it interesting that it took Jacob a month to finally decide to send his boys back to Egypt. And his motivation isn't "okay, boys, go get Simeon out of jail." It was "we need more food." Was Joseph testing his dad as well? Seeing what kind of value he puts on Leah's sons vs. favoring Rachel's? If, so...FAIL!!!

theMovement Newcomer's Dessert tonight at 6.30pm! Come on out if you are a new person, or if you are an older person but are new to theMovement!

theMovement Then after his family was killed in a storm, Job says in Job 1:21-22, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD." 22 In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong."

theMovement Jesus, seeking His Father's glory in Luke 22.42-44 said, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done." Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground."

Luke 22:69 declares "Hereafter the Son of Man will sit on the right hand of the power of God." Then Matthew 25:31-34 says "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory....34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of ...My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world..."Read More

Genesis 41.37-44 speaks of Joseph's timely rise to Egyptian power, and Acts 2.32-34 says Acts 2:32-35 says "This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now... see and hear.
