A SITE-SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE conceived and directed by Lear Debessonet (one of Time ...Out New York’s "25 People to Watch"). Written by Lucy Thurber with original live music by The Psalters. Featuring a cast of 30 that includes Kate Benson, David Brooks, Gian Murray Gianino, & James Scruggs, with puppets by Emily Decola and featuring Robert Smythe (of Mum Puppet Theatre fame), as Rocinante. Quixote is a daring new look at Cervantes’ Don Quixote, the story of a man who refuses to accept the darkness of reality at the risk of madness. Set in a richly imagined anachronistic world where 16th Century Spain meets Center City Philadelphia, QUIXOTE asks the question, is it insane to believe in a more just world?
