Big Ten Network How about those early games? Purdue wins in Ann Arbor for the first time since 1966, MSU takes care of business, both Illinois and Wisconsin hold off furious fourth quarter rallies and of course, the biggest story in college football today, Northwestern upsets Iowa. So this Ohio State-Penn State game just got even bigger.

Here's one if it were not for a missed field goal and a terrible holding call iowa would've won 20-10

Give RichRod a chance...we've lost alot of players. On another note....Iowa needed to lose to expose them and stop the madness....and you right...now the big game is Ohio/Penn.....GO PENN ST!

Did you watch the Iowa game, if our QB doesn't go down, it's a whole different ball game Iowa wins easily. Plus notice all the no calls on Iowas last drive, come on

hey matthew...if you hadnt noticed northwester ALSO played their back up quarterback for most of the game .... sooo there was really no advantage there. northwester just played better today. suck it up. and i would bet money that stanzi would have thrown about 3 more picks.

If Rich Rod leaves/is fired Michigan will start out the in the SAME position we were last year. That's NOT what is needed. If he isn't let go and we have a bad season next year it doesn't make a difference because the NEW coach would be trying to get in HIS players and Michigan would still lose. Keep him one more season, if they have another bad season...then let him go.

So Iowa fans you are saying you lost because of a couple bad calls? Hmmm...guess that makes up for the gift you got last week. Refs new there would be too much media attention if they helped you two weeks ina row. Lol

There were some questionable calls by the referees, the main one in my mind is the "holding" call on the TD by wegher, which if you watched the game even Bob Griese said he did not see anything. I agree that NW used their 2nd team QB, but he was a little more prepared based on reps in practice bcuz they knew Kafka would not be able to go a great deal. I take my hat off to Coach Fitzgerald, he knows how to get it done in Kinnick. Mr. Lynch from Indiana could learn a lot from Coach Fitz.

Hats off to northwestern. They won. But the last to drives Iowa didn't get any love from the refs. Lots of holding done by those CB's. Iowa needs to get healthy. Trying to run the table without stanzi and a freshman running back won't help our chances.

Great game by NU. The refs throughout the whole game were bad. There were missed calls and bad calls for both sides. You can't blame those refs for costing the Hawks the game.

Too bad all that "extra" conditioning for Michigan didn't help in the 4th quarter. The coach is a tool and has disgraced the Big Ten since his controversial hiring. Iowa's luck ran out and PSU forgot how to get first downs. What a Saturday!

umm that was not an upset think about this NW scoered 2 times 1 when Stanzi went down and a short feild int gave them 14 points (this is speculation) but if Stanzi was stil in all game NO LOSS! Sorry Vandenburg but you are no Stanzi!

So much for home field advantage. Only MSU won at thome but it was non-conference. In the conference games, the road team won all the games. I think the Big Ten is very even this year. Even Illinois, who floundered for weeks has got their act together. Run the table which would include beating Cincinnati, would make them bowl eligable. Could there ... See Morebe 8 or 9 teams to bowls? Coiuld see a Big Ten team in a bowl not normally tied to them. Say a St.Petersburg Bowl or a Emerald Bowl. Something like that.
