The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa It’s Denver first Beer Fest! Throughout the week Ship Tavern is celebrating its 75th anniversary with beer themed menu items named after some famous faces who have dined here - from the John Wayne to the Jon Bon Jovi.
The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa Denver’s first Beer Fest is Sept. 18-27. Ship Tavern opened in celebration of the repeal of prohibition in 1934 and is celebrating its 75-year anniversary all week. For a fun taste of history, request to have your beer served prohibition style (in a teapot). During prohibition the hotel would mix up tea colored alcohol disguised in teapots to serve to hotel patrons. Cheers to that! www.denverbeerfest.com
