For those capoeira newbies out there, I say welcome to capoeira! The best thing you can do if you want to start training capoeira is to search online for capoeira groups in your area. I don't know of every capoeira school in the country off the top of my head, but there are some good resources out there if you look f...or them.

Try www.capoeira.com for starters.

If all else fails, and you really can't find a capoeira group to train with (if you've exhausted all your resources!) then you'd do well to look into getting a subscription to www.learncapoeira.com where they have some great training videos (movements, music, how to play, etc).

(Full disclosure: I do a bit of work for LearnCapoeira on the side, but you shouldn't take that to mean my enthusiasm for their videos is any less meaningful. Quite the contrary; I wouldn't represent them if I didn't think they have a high quality and useful product.)
