A Langham Creek High School freshman who said he's the victim of a hate crime is speaking out. Jayron Martin said he begged two principals at his school and his bus driver for help before he was hit repeatedly with a metal pipe.

The school administrators should be held accountable for not taking action to prevent this. Children have a right (gay, hetero, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgender) have the right to be and feel safe at school.

Brad, I'm not sure why you have trouble believing this. Time and time again, I witnessed administrators who acted according to their prejudices rather than what is right to do.
And when the crap hits the fan, all too often some teacher or non-cert are blamed.
And yes, I know that most administrators try to do a good job. But way too many don't.

GayPolitics.com has been notified that President Obama will later today officially announce the repeal of the HIV Travel and Immigration ban. The ban, a legacy of former North Carolina senator Jesse Helms, has been in place since 1987 and will now end after a 60-day waiting period.
