Michael Jackson’s famed health guru, Deepak Chopra, tells The Daily Beast’s Gerald Posner about his grief, his own medical dealings with the singer—and how a simple emergency room drug could have saved his life.

More wasted bandwidth. Shame on you TDB.
Daniel at 2:52pm July 2
By the way... there is also a report that Jackson was taking Diprovan to sleep. If this is the case it is OUTLANDISH as Diprovan is a SERIOUS drug used in ORs, ICUs and a few ERs. Diprovan does have a very short halflife but to my understanding Narcan will not reverse its effects.

This is still all bullshit. Let it go and leave the issue be.

I love that Beck admitted on "The View" that he told something patently false about Whoopi and company because he doesn't bother to check the validity of his stories... his stated reason? Because he is a commentator, not a journalist. Apparently, only journalists have to tell the truth.

Another attempt by Facebook to try to make itself more like Twitter. Hey Facebook, if I wanted to be on Twitter, I would be!
Matt at 12:42pm June 11
I guess I'm the only one, but I'm all for this. I have a name that I've used since my very first e-mail address, and I'll be glad to start using it on here. My understanding is that full names will still work, so what are you all so upset about? It's not a change, really, just an addition.

The Daily Beast The Daily Beast's Tom Murray writes- From admiring lectures about Soviet double agent Kim Philby to coffee at my school’s Alger Hiss Café, hints abounded that my professor, accused Cuban spy Walter Kendall Myers, might be a Communist spook. Accused Castro spy Walter Kendall Myers taught political science under Paul Wolfowitz at Johns Hopkins, remembers his student, Tom Murray. On the syllabus: lectures praising double agents.

The Daily Beast goes inside the Venice Biennale. Featuring interviews with artists, reports from the pavilions, and photos from the hottest parties. Next week: the Beast goes to Art Basel.
Jenny at 2:09pm June 4
I went to the Venice Biennale today for the opening day. I attended 7 openings: Canada, United States, Germany, Holland, Uraguay, France, Denmark. I saw thousands of people, including Naomi Campbell and Tiziano Ferro. It was sunny and gorgeous and people dressed to kill! We drank upteen glasses of prosecco and tasted all sorts of appetizers. I also... Read More managed to score at least 15 bags representing the countries (they all produce bags for the openings) and weighty books, phamplets and flyers. It was a real event!!!! Not to miss and to return, because you need at least 3 days to see all the exhibits!

The Pentagon is denying the facts: photographs of Abu Ghraib torture are even more sexually explicit than first reported, writes Scott Horton, who has obtained specific and detailed corroboration of them.

I wasn't so much criticizing your post as I was going after Chloe and anyone else's who want to see the photos. There's no altruistic reason to see the photos. I borrowed your "rogue corrupt politicians" because that seems to be the mantra for exposing all those things many disagree with the former administration.

Perhaps you're right with the hackneyed assertion regarding Cheney and Haliburton. If that were true, why don't we control the oil fields of Iraq? Why is the price of oil heading back North?

Susan Boyle has become an emotional wreck, reports The Daily Beast’s Piers Morgan, a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, as the global spotlight and the U.K.’s media jackals pick her

James at 2:26am May 29
I agree Susan Boyle is just a simpleton with a beautiful voice. The singing equivalent of Mike Tyson. Tyson had no one to protect him at look what happened. Take the money and go home Susan. Its the world's loss.

The president will reawaken his dormant grassroots network to push Sonia Sotomayor—a plan designed to divert attention away from his real summer agenda
Luis at 10:42am May 26
I have a feeling Sotomayor will be another of Obama`s blunders. I don`t think she is left enough. Oh, well, Souter was the troyan horse for Reps.
I just hope she is current with her taxes!!!! its getting boring that most nominees’ are tax cheats.
