No topic just the idea of TEAM! Students will actually decorate the word "TEAM" for the materials. Maybe we can post an example from last year? I'll work on that!

The Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools Student Grades After MAPS for Kids - KFOR

The Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools

The Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools This morning we released our report ”Community, Consistency, Creativity” that provides an assessment of the progress of the District since the passage of MAPS for Kids in 2001. You can access the report on our website at www.okckids.com/taskforce.

This report provides both The Foundation and the OKCPS District with ...a benchmark in which to begin our next chapter. While we are clear that The Foundation will continue to be a partner with the District and celebrate its victories, our strategic focus will be on advocating for reform, reviewing progress on an annual basis, and providing strong leadership in both the community and the District. Our commitment to you, is that we will continue to create or enhance our programs to assist you in removing real barriers to learning in your schools – like Teachers Warehouse, Student InCENTives, and Great Idea Grants. We want you to know that we listen and we value your input on a daily basis.

As you well know, and research has showed, the single most important factor in the educational success of students is teacher quality. We also know at The Foundation that serving and teaching in an urban district is a calling more than anything else. This report is not an effort to place blame or provide a prescription of how to do your job. It is honest to say, “Here is where we are... Here is where we must go for the sake of every child in Oklahoma City Public Schools.”

Please post your thoughts or comments here...

Kara--This type of funding comes straight from the state to the District so unfortunately, the Foundation is not in the loop on this issue. I would say you could call payroll or Scott Randall's office at the District for information.--Robyn
