Green Party of England and Wales The lack of affordable, low-carbon, housing is one of the big failures of the Labour government. The Green Party is in favour of a £6 billion fund to enable local authorities to buy up and convert, or in some cases build, new housing for rent. This would pay for 60 000 new homes to be built to low carbon standards, as far as possible on brownfield sites, and provide 140,000 jobs. What do people think?
