I worked with some of those boys who had summer jobs at the steel plant by. Marshall and will always remember that night and how many great individuals,players coaches and friends who lost their lifes while doing what they enjoyed in life. My God bless them and always be with them.

I remember that night. I was on our third floor listening to music. My Mom came up and told me about the crash. I didn't believe it because it was just a couple weeks before that a plane carrying some of Wichita State football team crashed. I had classes with and knew some of the players and my brother knew some of the kids who lost one or both of ... Read Moretheir parents. A couple of years ago, when my Mom passed, while I was in town I went to the place where the unidentified players are buried. My family knew Nate Ruffin, and he's buried there, through working with him at the Herald Dispatch. I got all choked up. I don't make it too far into "We Are Marshall" before I start getting choked up.
