Rob Welch This was a first: found a Killdares CD in the racks at Half-Price Books. I always look and had never found one before. It was "Live", so I didn't purchase it, but it was kind of cool to see it there, nestled in among all those mainstream artists... :)

At 4900 at 20:00 Sat 19 Dec, it takes a little less than 2K to make it to 7th, under 3500 to 6th, and over 5600 to make it inside the top five - plenty of time with the big counts registered over the last week - of course the others are trying too...

Well, the lead two have found a new way to "do something" - they literally doubled their enormous totals, from 15K+ to 30K+, in 12 hours - so some html programmer has a way around captcha & they both found it last night - but the KD's slightly narrowed in on spots #5-7 in the same time, w/ now just over 1900 to 5th, under 3400 to 6th, and under 5600 to 5th.

Something really interesting from perusing the "Top 20" stats isn't votes, but *views.* Advertising is exposure - and the KD's are solidly 4th in that category, and only 35-40% separates them from 3rd. The Top 2 in views are #2 and #10 in votes, respectively, and the 3rd in views is the leader in votes. After the KD's, at 4th in views, there is an enormous gap - from 43k+ down to 29k-.

Have to think what all that may mean, but the #2 group - a dance group with what, 20 members, obviously reloads frequently before voting (and how exactly does dance troup sell insurance?), whereas #1 apparently "votes right and votes often." #10 must not have many people who like them for all who watch.... One lesson at least is don't just vote right and vote often, but reload the link each time before you do - and send the link to see the KD's entry far and wide.
