Meet the Middle Eight. This NYC-based indie/pop/rock band broke onto the scene their first CD, Unwind in 2006, and their latest, a self-titled EP has just been released.
The band is currently gigging and promoting the songs from the new EP as well as writing new material. The signature track from the EP will be featured in "The Rebound", a film set to release in 2010 starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Justin Bartha.
With a sound awash in influences ranging from Wilco and Radiohead to the Beatles, the Middle Eight’s music is destined to find a home on many iPod playlists.
The Middle Eight is named for the British term for a song’s interlude – a London Bridge, if you will.
The band plays an array of venues throughout New York City regularly, including La Poisson Rouge, The Cutting Room, Crash Mansion, The Annex, Kenny's Castaways, Arlene's Grocery, and The Bitter End.
Members:
Jason Olshan - Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar
