i guess i should read all the post before i get preachy :)

ya just gotta change a recipe a little and call it your own....i watched quite a few different shows where the hosts recipes were just about the same (alton and ina's homemade marshmallows...she added roasted coconut to hers)

Michael is still my favorite Melissa has grown on me - not sure I'd want a whole show of her but she might be some missing demographic Food Networks wants. Read Morehad last episode was due to that terrible kitchen and the challenging ingredients they got... I think they'll both bounce back. Katie is annoying. I am sure she'll be gone next. They HAD to get rid of Teddy & Eddy first. They were both annoying. Go Michael!!!

Michael is starting to remind me of Big Daddy. Not great in front of the camera but definite cooking chops.

every season i get more and more dis heartened by the food network.......the receipe's i try from their "stars" are sub par.....the recommendations they make leave me LESS than impressed, i.e drive inns, etc....the OBVIOUS favoritism that tishman show's the male contestants that he wants to F&#K.....SO shallow, SO meaningless, SO pathetic.......

LOL, I, too, think it was hilarious when they said the watermelon salad sucked, and it turned out it was Paula Deen's recipe.. I think they voted him off tonite because they were clearly embarrassed when they found out..

I am glad Brett is gone . . . he was an a@#hole. I like Jeffrey and Jamika, they both seem very sincere and appreciate whatever comments they get! and eating the greens on NYD, I've heard that before about the superstition. I LOVE collard greens!

Yes, Guy was quite a find! I remember thinking he was going to win when he made those sushi cupcakes. I like Aaron actually... I have only caught his show once or twice but so far so good.

Don't forget she also got help with the tarts.

Not to change the subject but I could watch Jamika everyday! She has great ideas & seems to have an awesome personality!

I'm really glad Susie did that. It also helps that they're doing those videos and Bob's Blog to see the humanity in the judging.

Jen did seem to be a lovely person. But for first impressions, green beans made so simply - not good. But I also agree Debbie had a very disappointing performance. She needs to step it up or her days are numbered.

I think Debbie was Lying ......through out the show and she was completely dishonest with her team. I don't care how well she cooks but to see her going up with this kinda a behavior is a complete disappointment. Just hoping that The Next food Network Star better not be Liar. I don't agree with the Judges on this elimination at all.

After all the judge's comments about "integrity", they decide to keep Debbie, who LIED, DECEIVED and didn't take responsibility for her team's abomination of a dessert (which was her "executive decision" remember). And where were Debbie's organizational and time management skills?!? I'm not so sure she was a caterer...wait staff FOR a caterer is ... Read Moremore like it. Jen may have been inexperienced, and her dish "ho-hum", but at least it was decent and edible. Very bad call on the judges part to keep Debbie, but I'm not surprised, either. They do this every year and I don't know why I even bother watching the show. In the end, it's all about ratings anyway.

It's going to be longer for me because I don't have Food Network and have to watch it OnDemand!
