I can't help noticing the use of the phrase 'nothing but' occurring in this conversation on health care. It's a good phrase -- if followed by 'et cetera'. Otherwise it makes nothing but trouble -- etc.! :)
I don't know how someone is supposed to argue against a claim that a health care bill is 'nothing but' a giveaway t...o fatcats. Obviously it is not -- clearly, for instance, some people will get insurance who wouldn't otherwise -- so arguing would be fruitless; the 'nothing but' shuts down conversation.Read More

Also I heard something from Jack Rice about Bernie Sanders pretending to make a stand on the public option, knowing full well that the bill will pass without him.
This is not how... Jack put it, but really Sanders's threat would be entirely fake. Indeed, by threatening to vote against a bill without public option, Sanders would be helping to deep six the public option, by making it necessary to get votes from elsewhere. But Sanders is very much a politician in his thinking. :)Read More

Ten years ago this month, I was hoping to bring my daughter home. Six months earlier, I had started the process to adopt my daughter. I wasn't sure where she was, or what she looked like, but I had already ...

Hi! I've been listening to you guest hosting on several Air America shows, but it wasn't until I opened up your facebbook page that I realized you so pretty! It was a definite lift to my day...All right, back to reality. Here's a thought: Sarah Palin's new book is supposed to be the #1 national bestseller, but if you s...ubtract the amount of copies that Newsmax bought, would the numbers even rival those of a well-read pamphlet?Read More

The Nicole Sandler Show Coming up next week on the show... Monday night, MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan will be my special guest. Tuesday night, a very special show on adoption, Wednesday night all you need to know about what tech toys to buy on Black Friday... and of course, the latest on health care reform and whatever else is going on in our world....

The Nicole Sandler Show I could have talked with Robert Reich all night! The former Secretary of Labor spoke with me about the "ersatz public option" and what else is wrong (and right) with the health care bills, as well as our "jobless recovery." Obama needs to bring Reich into his administration! Listen:

The Nicole Sandler Show Dave Dayen (aka blogger D-Day) writes the FDL News blog at news.firedoglake.com, and joined me last night to talk about the Senate health care bill which comes up for its first procedural vote today. Listen here:

Kevin
Zeese spoke with me last night about Mobilize for Health Care. If
you're not thrilled with the health care legislation being debated

interview and get involved!

This has been a strange, strange week.It was the week of Palin. Sarah Palin who, by all rights, should have disappeared from the national discourse after she quit her job as governor of Alaska with 18 ...

The Nicole Sandler Show Tonight, due to circumstances beyond my control, we will run a "best of " program... It's a good one though, with Rep. I'll be back live tomorrow night!

There you are Nicole. ...Welcome Aboard My Sister : The Liberal Democratic Party : http://www.facebook.com/pages/LIBERAL-DE MOCRATIC-PARTY/166941438365
On November 2, 2009 The Liberal Democratic Party was formed for Facebook Fans and Friends and Family all across this Great land. I currently live in The South Central section of The United States of America. The Land of The Redman alson known as The Great State of Oklahoma. Oklahoma is a diverse state with a great an...d long lasting heritage that dates back way before The Land Run of 18 and 89. Our intents are to have a Representative(s) from each and every state to both Administer this page and have links to their own State(s) Application/Page as well. We are Americans and we must seek American representation of American Values that are not limited to what one single sect of society has to say on the matter. From the poorest of the poor to the most corporate of elite, we should all have a peaceful voice on the matters concerning agreements and Our State(s). If we were not United, we would simply be a state. We are United therefore we are The United States. We do not seek to judge you for what you were but rather seek to see you for what you are. We see good in everybody from sea to shining sea. From the poorest of the poor to wealthiest of them all, we know everyone has something to say on matters concerning our Liberality. One thing is for sure, we are not out take away guns as many have often claimed. We believe that well organized Americans whom are safe and representative of American Values and Law Abiding citizens can not only own gun(s) but be a gun owner in safety and in peace. If you have not yet joined, you are peacefully and lovingly offered at this time, the softly spoken word and the good outreaching hand of peace. Thank you for your time and GOD bless America. Tonight, the United States moved one step closer. One step closer to the rest of the free world. It should come as a huge shock to realize that the United States of America stands alone as the only industrialized nation on the planet that doesn't consider health care to be a basic human right. ...
