As usual, our goal is to empower you..., the drinker, with more knowledge about wine by way of expert education and tasty sips. We are working with the top names in wine that Boston has to offer to bring and fun, informative and most importantly, completely unpretentious wine class.
For most people, sake is nothing more than a shot best dropped into beer, but this Japanese rice wine is steeped in history and tradition. Don’t miss our exclusive sake tasting with specialist Michael Simkin. Under Michael’s expert guidance, we will sample 5 sakes with some Japanese snacks and learn all about the history of sake, how it’s made and what all the different levels represent. This animated sake genius has visited or brewed at most sake houses in Japan, and now he’s here in Boston to share his knowledge and favorite sakes with us. A hardcore devotee, Michael’s love of the Japanese culture extends from his sake fascination to his wife who he met in Japan (sweet love story!)
