Sandy Conley I'm in search of SAFE toys for my 18-month old daughter. I've found PLAN TOYS and GREEN TOYS that offer some great options. What about baby dolls -- are most of the dolls on the market made of PVC? Is it OK for toddlers to play with a PVC doll if they are not chewing on it?

This is how I found your group. What a great write up for those trying to figure out a safe baby bottle. You guys sure made my researching load a lot lighter. http://thesoftlandingbaby.com/2008/01/26 /think-baby-bottles-vs-born-free-green-t o-grow-whats-the-difference/

Stephanie In my reading before joining this group I read this stuff(BPA) mimics estrogen. Hmmm....just a thought.....could this be another reason females hit puberty way before we ever did and why there is a weight gain difference since our times as well? I am not the only one who has noticed this. Teens nowadays are way most busty than we ever were.

What I found out just now doing research is using jars with lids...the coating on canning jar lids, so as to stop the metal from reacting with the foods, also has BPA (your baby food jars sold in stores with prepeared food is also lined at the inner top of the lid), toilet paper is stated to have it as well. I think wh...at I will do is freeze my foods in the food jars, pull out ahead of time to let it thaw and heat in a bowl with boiling water, stirring the food as it is heating. This is what I did 10 yrs ago. I guess instead of freezing with just the lid exposed to the food inside, now I will line with wax paper to ensure there is no contact. Thank you Soft Landing for the link in Michelle's wall post below. There were links after links I followed to do research. This stuff is everywhere. :(Read More
