Who was the girl in the room with you and the sandman at the beginning of funny people??

What inspires you to write about your various projects? You have come up with the most hysterical movies, that just keep getting better and better!

Judd, my friend -

Would you ever cast anyone else in the female lead role other than your wife? Or would you be forced to sleep on the couch?

“You won't realize the distance you've walked until you take a look around and realize how far you've been.”

When you look back,
How has your comedic style, inspiration, and mindset in directing changed?

And if you weren't directing movies, what would you be doing instead?

What would you suggest to an aspiring sketch/film writer and director who's trying to find a way to make and promote his material as I am still in high school? Oh and just to kiss ass, your work is actually what nudged me into comedy; plan on entering a short film at sxsw! Hell's yes!
JC wroteon November 12, 2009 at 6:11pm
Who would you say are your favorite comedians in the stand-up world, and what are your favorite films (not necessarily comedies)?
Louis wroteon November 12, 2009 at 6:34pm
how well do you keep your relationship with your editors?

the ones that "CUT with their guts"

: D

As a girl hoping to eventually enter the comedy world, seeing your films center around just male characters can be disheartening (I do love all of your movies though!). Would you ever center a movie around a group of women? Why haven't you in the past?

Also:

Are there any other Freaks & Geeks cast members you'd like to cast in your movies?
Jim wroteon November 12, 2009 at 7:21pm
Would you ever consider making us a good, R-Rated cartoon? Far too few of them.

What was it like to actually get to work with Judd Apatow?

Will you ever make a spin off of Knocked Up...Maybe them raising the Kid?

Judd, would you ever consider making a movie in 3D? You know, because it's the future of cinema.

Do you have any advice on how to get a pilot read by the right people and aquire investors get it produced?

I am in the midst of writing of what I believe could be in the realm of the next East Bound and Down geared for HBO/Showtime. I recently had to leave LA where I attended film school and was never given a chance to properly work my way into a decent job due to this shitty economy and moved back to Virginia so my contacts are next to none. Any advice or insight would be detremntal in pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks, your fan,

Jonathan Mitchell.

Is crying in public not socially acceptable or am I just doing it wrong?
Dave wroteon November 12, 2009 at 10:23pm
your movies are slowly getting more serious, how serious are you gonna get?

I second Nina's post:

"As a girl hoping to eventually enter the comedy world, seeing your films center around just male characters can be disheartening (I do love all of your movies though!). Would you ever center a movie around a group of women?"

I loved Lindsay Weir and I know you have it in you to write some kickass female leads. Surely if anyone can produce a blockbuster comedy for women that isn't about shoes, it's you.

Please give funny women something better than "The Sweetest Thing."
Dave wroteon November 12, 2009 at 10:25pm
i have a 2 year old, any chance you will make a movie my child can watch that will still be funny?

The Three Men and a Baby trilogy will be finishing up with Three Men and a Bride, fans of the trilogy are dying to know if you will be working on this much awaited project?

Why do I all of a sudden hate you so much?
