This is an awesome group that Mitch has created, but it will only work if we work it. "Working it", however, requires certain minimal commitments to each other and to the group.

If you want to grow the number of backlinks to your blog then you should network with other bloggers here to create "link partner" relationships. We add each other to blogrolls and commit to visiting one another regularly and commenting. That way, we all rise in the search engines and increase sticky traffic (as opposed to bouncing traffic) by showing that our content is relevant and worthy to be commented on.

Of course, your content has to actually be good, but it's your network that will help usher you into that next level.

If your blog is about business and/or marketing, I'd love to develop such a reciprocal relationship with you. Also, if your blog is about parenting, because mine is about working from home, we would make a good match.

However, I'm only looking for people who want to build a reciprocal relationship, not just get a quick link. That doesn't work, anyway.

Good post, Ivo, and a great point. Folks, Ivo and I already exchange links, and there's a couple other people here whose RSS feed I get and check their blogs from time to time. That's definitely how we can all grow.

I am interested in reciprocal linking with bloggers in the management, governance, business,technology space. I am not interested in doing so though with small home-based business people--my own blog is oriented toward the SME and larger market, e.g., consultants, business schools, etc -- mot MLM, one-man companies, etc. If you are interested I will deliver on reciprocity. Looking forward to hearing from you.

found your blogroll after much trolling. does it get spidered, etc when it's buried on an internal page? Just curious.

Actually, it's on the main page, along with other blogs on the blogroll (not sure why you had to troll for it; it's all in alphabetical order) and since that main page, at least the side content, goes into each other page of the blog, it will always get spidered Works just like your website if you make sure to have all your internal links covered.

Not sure what happened. yesterday the link was taking me to a page that didn't have the blogroll, just the latest entires and archives--today it's going to the main page. wires crossed somewhere. No idea.
