I thought I would start this topic to allow everyone to share their favourite hormone physician. I am under the care of Dr. John D. Carr, Fleur Women's Health Center, 72-780 Country Club Drive, Rancho Mirage, CA. Dr. Carr's phone number is 760-779-5511, and ask to speak to Paris, his medical assistant who handles scheduling and administrative tasks. Dr. Carr's new website should be up soon, and I will update this page as soon as I have the new website address.

Without hesitation I will tell you that Dr. Carr is one of the finest, most caring physicians I have ever known, and that includes my dealings with doctors at both the Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Carr carefully listens to his patients and takes their concerns seriously. He is extremely knowlegeable about both bioidentical hormone therapy and thyroid problems, which in many cases go hand in hand. He takes the time to educate patients on their conditions and how BHRT can help. He is accessible and very easy to talk to, he has a great sense of humour (you'd have to to deal with hormonally unbalanced women all day) and I have never felt uncomfortable asking even the most intimate of questions or discussing any physical problems. I know without a doubt that BHRT has saved my life and I am honoured to have Dr. Carr as my physician for the last five years. He also practices what he preaches, takes good care of himself, exercises, takes supplements---I find that very comforting.

So that the people in Springfield Missouri Know- do NOT go to Dr Kent Burk if you want bioidentical hormone help- he laughs in your face, talks down to you and if its not a "pill" he wont help you at all with your hormone problems- he is a good surgeon tho but totally worthless with "hormone" help

Hi, Peace, I found a neat site just yesterday, and it's called the Natural Women's Institue, Google it for the website address. There is a link at the top of the page, and if you click it it will take you to an email where you can request a list of doctors in your area. Also, check the IACPRX.ORG site, I haven't checked it yet myself (it's on tomorrow's list of things to do) but several people I have emailed with gave me a head's up about it. Private message me or post on the board if I can be of further assistance, have a great evening everyone!

I am seeing Dr. Eileen M. Reardon, St. Croix Obstetrics Womens Health, 1610 Maxwell Drive, Suite 200, Hudson, Wisconsin (715-381-9566). I found her through my compounding pharmacy (Walgreens). She takes Blue Cross Blue Shield,, which is really nice for those of us with insurance. She also offers followup consults via the internet to save money. Her nurse Karen is very knowledgeable as well. I am relatively new to BHRT and have only been to the clinic twice, but I have been very impressed. She has help me immensely. It was so nice to have a doctor who knew the score. I didn't have to plead for help or try to convince her that something was really wrong with me. I was previously treated by the Mayo Clinic and United Hospital. I do NOT recommend either. They only offered antidepressants and various forms of birth control...and, oh yeah, they tell you to exercise.

Hi everyone! I'm 43 and have been enjoying the benefits of bio-identicals (sublingual progesterone and testosterone gel...hoping to switch to pellets soon though) for 5 yrs now courtesy Dr. Kathy Maupin and her fantastically gifted nurse practitioner Sandi Redhage. I live in DC area however my sister in St. Louis introduced me to Dr. Maupin's team. Not only did Dr. Maupin help my sister give birth to 3 beautiful, healthy children inspite of some major obstacles...she's one of the leading Dr. in the field of bhrt's. Dr. Maupin is an OBGyn with an amazing understanding of the female endocrine system! I have searched for the last 5 years for a local MD, VA, DC Dr. that has as good a grasp on bhrt's as Dr. Maupin to no avail! So I travel to see my sis and the Dr. on a regular basis...10806 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO 314-993-0963 OR 4400 Broadway St., Kansas City, MO, 816-753-6552. Her website is www.biobalance4women.com. Hope you all can experience the benefits of bhrt! If anyone has a lead on a good Dr. in DC area...I'm ALL ears! Oh, and I use a compounding pharmacy called Bellevue Pharmacy 800-728-0288
