Do you manage to have a personal prayer time every day?
Do you have any tips for stopping these getting in a rut?

What a silent lot you are! I thought everyone would be on here saying things like: I'm so busy - it's so difficult.

Am I the only one?

my prayer has changed over the years and especially since I retired :-)
apart from the times I have been asked to pray for someone I am silent before God. I try to empty my mind of everything and wait before God.

I love just spending time with God. When my mind wanders and I find myself caught up in God's presence and contemplating all the majesty and awe surrounding God I am then at home - deos that make sense. I do attempt in the week to follow the Methodist daily prayer - it helps my mind from wandering too much and at the weekend a more open time of extemporary prayer - when i wake up during that I find myself rested!!!

The more time I spend in reflective prayer the more I realise how much God accepts me as I am and how much he loves me.

Its good to pray as I can happily sit in silence with him which is excellent as I have nothing to say at the moment
