Phil Mickelson's wife, Amy, has been diagnosed with breast cancer and Phil will be suspending his TOUR schedule indefinitely. You can post your wishes and reactions on this discussion thread, and we will send them to the Mickelsons.

Phil,
I talked once with Amy and met you getting your autograph when you played the International and thought you and Amy were both a class act. Our prayers are with your family at this tough time. You both seem to be very strong willed people and I know in my heart Amy and everyone in your family will come thru this with flying colors.

Phil, your loyalty to your wife and family over your golf profession shows the mettle of the man. Good job, Phil. She needs you now, just as she has supported you in the past. Best wishes for her treatment and speedy recovery!

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Mickelson;
Try to be strong in these trying times. I sincerely hope and pray that you get well very soon, Mrs. Mickelson. I cannot begin to imagine what you both may be going through. I love to watch you on the course, Mr. Mickelson, and especially like it when your lovely wife and children are there, on 18 to greet you on Sunday. My thoughts and prayers are with you, God bless.
Respectfully;

Amy and Phil,

I was very sad this morning when I heard the news. I have been out to several tournaments in Southern California and have seen you guys in person on the course. You both seem like great people, and I am wishing only the best for you and your family as you take on this challenge.

Wishing you peace and a speedy return to good health,

So many positive comments tonight from the Tour players are being aired on The Golf Channel. I met Amy at Firestone in 2000. Really nice lady.

My prayers to Amy, Phil and the family.

Amy, attack this like Phil attacks long par 5's. Be focused, be strong, don't let down. You will prevail. Here's to a full and speedy recovery.

My thoughts and prayers are with Amy, the kids, Phil, and the entire Mickelson family. Today is not a good day in the sports world. It's so sad. I just don't get why this has to happen to people. We have to keep fighting for a cure for this horrible disease. I am going to Bethpage in a month and I was so pumped to see Phil and to see him play with Tiger on Thursday and Friday. At this point, golf doesn't even matter. And, I know Phil isn't thinking about Bethpage at all. But, if things turn for the better and Phil tees it up at Bethpage, the support he will have from the fans will be unbelievable. If we all thought the support for him at the '02 Open was awesome, this will blow that away.

But, that's not the issue at this point. Amy will get the best care in the world. Hopefully it works and everything works out. I'm sad, but we also have to all keep the faith. Part of beating this horrible disease is to be optimistic.

Get well Amy! We are all thinking and praying for you!

Phil and Amy,

My prayers are with you as you begin this difficult journey. Phil, I know that you will not regret taking time off from the tour to spend it with your family. I applaud you for doing that. Stay strong and positive.
