Next week we'll be posting a "Style Spy" feature on Hostess Blog, sharing tips on creating a day of pampering for you and your friends, inspired from a big budget Hollywood Spa Experience called "Pamper Me Fabulous." In the meantime, please share your unique & fun ideas here for hosting an at-home Spa Party.

I love to go to Sephora and ask for free samples of skincare products to put in goodie bags...they always give you tons!

I would serve lighter fare-salads,finger foods,smoothies or mimosa's and chocolate covered strawberries.
Light lots of scented candles, and get some new age CD'S to create a relaxing mood.
You could give a pair of slippers in a gift bag for a party favor or just a bottle of OPI nail polish.

Ask each guest to bring a homemade spa item (assign each a different item like lotion, face scrub, etc) with them to share with the other guests. Include the recipe (or have them bring enough containers of it for each guest). Depends on the crowd. I love everyone bringing containers for each guest with their recipe and item so people all get something to go home with.

I agree with above comments, set the mood with aromatherapy candles, dim lighting, spa music and light spa cuisine. You could buy inexpensive tubs for each guest, fill them with a bottle of salt scrub, foot soak, lotion, a fluffy towel & a pair of plush slippers, wrap in cellophane and tie with ribbon. Then during the party, set up enough seating so everyone can sit down, soak and scrub their feet in the tubs & then lotion up! (All while relaxing with friends!) They will have everything they need to do this and can take everything home with them!
