I was wondering if anyone who is close to Western WA, and now where I could get some None Instant Powdered Milk, have tried a few CoOps and such, bulk stores and so far I only found the instant kind....
any help

Hey I don't know about at a store but found this http://www.amazon.com/Non-Instant-Non-Milk-Powder-1lb/dp/B0001AVTD6. I dont know if that will help but I will keep my eyes out and see if I can hear anything about where to get some

Ursula, You can get non-instant powdered milk at LDS Home Storage Centers. Each center has different procedures on who can purchase and how you can obtain the foods (can it yourself vs. just walking in and buying). I'm not sure your exact location, but I found a bunch of locations in Washington. Hope this helps!

If you're looking for better taste try Nido from Walmart it's in the Mexican food aisle almost next to the Nescafe.

well, this is how long it took me, to finally get somewhat answers.....
yes they do have what I am looking for, the ppl who where there did not run the cannery side, so I didn't get much info .....but they said that I would have to come in with any of the 3 church groups who do that, on appt. only. I've call 2 so far and they are not willing to either take me or let me order thru them, unless I belong to their church...:-(((....I have not called the appt. number to see if I am able to buy the bulk items without canning or if they have canned items that I can get. But this was a big long hassle just to get to this part....note this is a 30+ miles oneway trip, the other locations are even further away.
Might have to call some other, see their hrs and make it there, when I am on the road, to stop in.

Sorry it's such a hassle... Jodi and I are trying to figure out how they all work so we can do an informative post and save everyone a lot of time. The problem seems to be that each one works differently, so there are no "general" rules

We'll keep trying to figure it out.

Thank you so much for the help you already given, and yes it is hard to deal with so many diffrent rules, even thought it is the same place of offer. I wasn't so much suprised about how long it took, to finally know where and the hrs but rather than no-one knowing the rules, nor what or if they sell bulk with or without canning.Even though I understood that they worked the Store side, helping the family in needs, which I believe is just wonderful in this time of need. The not know basics was the shocker ......no idea when or who I would have to talk to, only gave info which churches from my area are the ones who uses and I would have to talk to them. I did ...how sad that none of them would even offer some kind of help...they were more interested me joining there church ....;-(((((....but I won't give up. Since I do some times go way south or east and be near some of the other locations, I will make sure that when it is same time frame, that I can stop but and know the rules before hand.
Even though I got lil crushed, when they could not sell me the bulk/canned items, since they had the pwd milk, potato flakes and such, I sooooo ready to try Crystals Cinn. bread and dough nuts...lololololol...
Now on the good side, I am re-eventing my pantry ...yes you all made me look a lil deeper on the way, I use it, buy item and such .....right now I am even think of getting a wheat-Grinder ...;-O...and try that part too. I do live in a smaller home and need to figure out storage ...but I have to say, always had some kind of food storage, Emerg. set up.....so my energy goes into simplify my home ......

Good News, everyone.....I finally got a hold of the person who does the cannery part and at first wasn't to happy that I only wanted to buy bulk and not can.....then he was asking how much I would buy and what I was interested in ..told him none instant milk and potato flakes, plus that I got their number from you all....he said that they prefer members of the church but since I was not cleaning them out, as he said, not buying trk loads, he said that it will be working out for me to come in when he is there for some of the groups...and pick up the wanted/need items......YEAH....as soon as I will get it I'll let you know and then Crystal's recipes here I come......
