The board of directors wants to know what your favorite part of the Great Falls Balloon Festival is. Quite obviously, we get excited about the launch of 30 + balloons into the sky over Auburn and Lewiston Maine every morning and night of the festival weekend. Share your favorite part!

My favorite is the lift-off.However, I know many pilots who say "flying is the second greatest experience....landing is the first..."
Having been involved with Balloon Fesitvals for more than 25 years, I have to say that nearly every facet of a well run Balloon Festival is worth the effort. I was in Maine a couple of years ago and got to observe The Great Falls Balloon Festival. Last year I was Director of the Great Southeast Balloon Festival in Anderson SC....lot's of fun. Best wishes for a great event this year.

When we lived out on Broad Street, the balloons used to land in the fields all around us - it was so wonderful to wake to that shhhhhhhhh sound and know they were coming. We'd wake the kids up and run out to see all of these wonderful hot air balloons descending right in our back yard. Great memories! It is always one of our favorite summertime events for sure.

Best part is seeing our children have fun and watching the balloons. We lived off of Main St. and loved that we could walk to any of the events easily.

Thats one thing I missed this year. I always loved taking Zachery there.
And watching him and his friends have a blast. That is an awesome picture

ive been volunteering for the past three years its a great place to meet new people and see old friends but my favorite part would be the launches
