Does it bother anybody else other than me that the black power ranger was a black guy? Or that the yellow power ranger was asian? Or that the non-minority women was pink? in retrospect it seems that my beloved power rangers was not a very politically correct show.

HAHA! My friend said the same thing. He also said that he thought it was unjust that the smart one had glasses and the leader was red (like a tough bull or something?) and therefore always wore sleeveless shirts to show off his muscles. But you know..I guess it's ok. We still loved the show. At least it was good. Not like the new LAME ones now.

Tell me about it. The new ones are so stupid. The only reason I watched any of the recent ones, was when Tommy came back.

i never noticed when i was younger... but looking back on it (when i went through all the toys i have) it did kinda seem odd to me. I dont really think kids cared and most probably didnt notice but they could have tried to put some diversity in it.

I do know that we had the glory days of the Power Rangers.. before they changed the cast every year and turned it into a soap opera

Speaking of political correctness everyone remember caption planet? My father banned me from that show because he thought it was teaching me that all buisness was evil and bad. In retrospect as a Communication student I have to agree with. Hmm come to think of it I bet I could get an easy pub doing a rhetoric paper on that very topic. Score facebook giving me ideas about what to do my research on next.

The Black Ranger was Black. His name was also Zack. It doesn't bother me, I think it's funny. Remember that the Yellow Ranger, Trina, was Asian too.

I'm pretty sure the red ranger was native american, wasn't he a lil too tanned to be white?

I would like to know why it took so long for a the "black" ranger to become red, oh poor power rangers, fun saturday morning cartoon show or an early pillar of prejudice...

We have only had two black red rangers. One in Turbo and one in SPD.

funny i was just talking about this the other day...

but if you remember in the power ranger movie when the black and yellow rangers go replaced

the black ranger became an asian guy and the yellow ranger became a black chick O.o
-----------------

what bothered me was that they never fought separately with their zords and always formed the megazord

What bothers me even more about the zoid thing is that if they start out in their respective zoid's cockpit, how did Kimberly get into the main cockpit with the other 4 rangers *before* the Pterodactyl joined to form the megazord.

Around 5:50 of this episode...
