bump...I second that. I want to delete a couple of the groups I started but can't figure out how....anyone?

go into the specific group that you want to remove and click on "leave group" on the right hand side.... if you haven't already figured it out.

won't that just cause you to leave the group instead of deleting it

You remove everyone from the group so you're the only member, then click on leave group. When the last member leaves it gets deleted.

Just removed all members of a group I created and then removed myself and the group has now gone from facebook land!...

You'd think there would be a simple "DELETE GROUP" tab ... might be something Facbook wants to add?!?! you gonna tell them? :)

Yes.

Go on 'edit members' on the right hand side, then click on 'remove from group' (at least I think that's what it says) next to the member's name.

like the other people said that just remove all the members, and then remove yourself. That's it. I deleted one of my group like this.

Anyone know how to delete my friends groups on the left side?

I'm trying to remove all members, but there is a member that is not an admin, without the link "remove": how comes?

I've also written a message to this guy, asking to leave the group, but he's not replying.

On the group main page, click on "Edit Members", and remove everyone from the group.
Return to the group main page, and click on "leave group". You will get this message:

Remove group membership?
You are attempting to remove yourself from a group for which you are the last member. If you remove yourself, the group will be deleted.
Are you sure you want to remove your membership from "group name"?

Again, what if I can't remove some members? I'm the only admin/owner of the group, but there is a member I can't remove and this guy doesn't even reply to my requeste to remove itself.

@Flora, this is an easy one :)

Go in "Edit Group" -> "Customize", then chose "This group is closed" or "This group is secret".

From this moment nobody can join the group without your authorization.

On the Column " Groups friends have joined " is there a way to delete thoughs?

if you get rid of all the members then yourself the group will be delted

I managed to delete the group by deleting all members and then myself as the creator but it took a long time to manually remove each and every member (twice, b/c it requires you to confirm removal). What a pain! The more members you have, the longer it takes. There should be a simple delete group option for the creator!!

What if not everyone has responded to the invitation to the group? I have a list of members that have joined and then 200+ people that haven't responded... if I delete myself and the members that have joined will the group delete even though some people haven't joined it yet?
Do you know what I mean?
