HELLO, PALM!? Yeah, uh, the Asia Pacific is here too, and yes, we do want the latest from palm. We don't want to continually deprived!

I don't even mind paying more and buying it direct from Palm, I'm not asking you to form an alliance with a carrier, I know that can take time, just to sell us your hardware

Don’t let the carrier monopolize it. But Palm would prefer bulk-purchase like carriers don’t they? Quick money coming, with contract with the carrier company to guarantee it.
I’m from Indonesia, most smartphones are available officially unlocked, except some (iPhone and HTC’s android) which is overpriced by the carrier.

disappointingly this petition didn't grow that big, however, I have seen many similar posts since, so it seems there is still worldwide interest for unlocked GSM pre and pixis...
