Welcome to the second journal page prompt - lists! For me, making a list is a fun and non-intimidating way to journal because there's no need to worry about grammar, writing a stunning piece of prose, or waiting for a massive flash of illumination for a journal page (all of these things seem to elude me.) I've found that it's a great warmup activity for other projects, too - it loosens up the brain gears and gets me in a creative mindset.

So if this sounds fun to you, jot a topic in your journal and sort through your mental files - perhaps a list of places you've lived, foods you can't stand, your favorite restaurants, people you love, people you could do without, things you'd like to try, things you would never do again, art project ideas, your quirks, artists who inspire you (i got that idea from francie's friday favorite fives), authors you adore, goofy-sounding words, and so on. Anything goes - the good, the bad, the happy, the sad - you can even make a list of lists that you would like to tackle in the future.

Happy listing!

Aimee

music is one of my favorite things to list. what are my favorite songs right now? looking back at what my favorites were at certain periods in my life can bring back memories and feelings from those times and even make me go "oh yeah! i forgot how much i like that song!" :)

I think I'll journal about the list I made last night ... all the things I have to complete by June 1st ... and all the things that distract me from getting them done!

This is a good one! I make lists all the time - in fact one of my friends once picked on me, saying that I make lists of my lists.... Unfortunately, she's not too far off. :) Can't wait to see what comes out of this one.........

I like to do that though I usually don't put them in list form but randomly scatter the words over the page. You have inspired me to try some other list ideas. I can't wait to try them!
