If your school isn't listed on our list and you use Blackboard, please list your school here so that we can get it included! Hopefully we'll have a form soon that you can fill out to include your school.Post by application developer.

There's an error coming up for us: "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 208.109.49.94:8094." Is that you or us? We use the Bb ASP services and connect at http://gc.blackboard.com/ if that helps at all. You guys did exactly what I've been waiting for. I hope you make a pile of money with this LOL

We get this error occasionally using Facebook in general. Would you please try again? Let us know how it goes.

I think we may be experiencing firewall issues. I'm going to test this some more and get back to you. :)

Might be. Are only certain IP addresses allowed to login to Georgian?

Of course this looks like an excellent application, but do you have any privacy statements regarding the collection of usernames and passwords to Blackboard accounts? That might put some minds at ease.

Lisa replied to Ian's poston October 18, 2007 at 8:38am
No. It's the ports. We have rules at the college that only allow port 80 through the firewall in the browser. I bet 100 zuckerbucks I could access it off campus. Let me see if I can get them to open the port. Do you guys have any documents that I could give my network security guy that might convince him you're a 'safe' company to open up? :)

Great point Randy. That is a top priority and our privacy policy will be up by the end of the day. Just so you know, we've gone through great lengths to ensure the privacy of all user information. I'll post a link to it as soon as it's available.
Thanks

Thanks. I think this has great potential, but I can see Lisa's point coming into play as well. I'm pretty sure my institution has some Firewall settings that are preventative (session-keys are actually used for access). This is definitely worth pursuing . . .so I encourage you to keep going!

Unfortunately, USU currently uses Blackboard Vista (WebCT) and isn't supported yet. I'll let you know as soon as it is.

I've tried to log on, but it doesn't accept my username. I'm on the campus internet network. Is that the problem?

Which school are you trying to login to?
A somewhat common problem is people trying to login to Blackboard by using their Facebook username and password. Make sure you can login to your Blackboard server with a browser, then try again with CourseFeed.
Please let me know how it works out.
Ian.

I'm at BYU, and I can log into Blackboard, but the Coursefeed shows
"We were unable to verify your account. Please try again." and puts my password as my username.

Sounds like you entered your password for both fields: username and password. Please try again. If it doesn't work still, message me directly with your username so I can look into it deeper.

This looks like it could be terribly useful since I'm probably on FB more than Blackboard, hehe. Can you add Illinois Institute of Technology?

That's actually a facebook api error. Usually when we see those they clear up after a few minutes. Please try it again and let us know what happens. Thanks.

As someone who supports Blackboard at my University, I want to be able to see what this application does without enabling it for my students. Is there a demo you can show me so I can see what kind of information is displayed and who it is displayed to?
