Interview scheduled for 1/9/9.
Brandon and Bridget Zeuner are both deeply involved in the startup world and the social media world.
Brandon [http://www.bzkicks.com/blo g/bzkicks-splash-page/]is a managing partner with Venture51, a venture-launch firm who specializes in launching early-stage tech startups, providing seed and microVC funding, mentors and advisors, launch marketing services and more.
Bridget [http://bridgetz.com/]works with a different kind of startup: bands! (we don't discriminate against particular kinds of bytes at SSP :)) As social media replaces Evil Record Labels, how does a band build community, provide value to its followers, deal with piracy and DRM?
Here's the questions we have so far - we'll post B & B's bios in a few days. What do you think?
Topics:
1. Social Medias for Startups - how are B & B using social media to boost their startups? (Specific examples.)
2. Artist Marketing (Startups with Guitars) - What works today for startup artists?
3. BridgetZ focus and A-Myth (like the E-Myth, but for Artists)?
4. Venture51 focus and the perfect storm (web 2.0 / Job loss / VC)?
5. Launch formulas today for both startups and artists?
6. Living with someone online and off - Lessons learned?
What do you think? Any other questions?

How has social media affected the real media? And on a more personal scale, how has social media affected real social contact?

Bridget and Brandon have sent me their bios to post (apologies all -going from email to plain text formatting tends to get iffy):
Bridget Zeuner is the founder of Bridget Z, a company that helps musicians and personalities become "Web-ified" and “Socialized.” She also consults label execs on emerging and social media as an integral part of the new music model.
Prior to that, Bridget has worked in various Marketing and sales roles with technology, promotions and music companies where she was brought on to help with emerging media & marketing strategies.
What's remained a constant interest throughout her career is music, having worked in band bookings and special events in well-known live music venues in New York City.
=====
Brandon Zeuner (Zoy-ner) is a managing partner at Venture 51. Previously, Zeuner was the Vice President, Sales & Business Development at Flypaper charged with advancing their launch and sales strategy, key business development relationships and community evangelism.
Before Flypaper, Brandon was Director of Sales & Marketing at Sage Software, where he was responsible for North American revenues for ACT! and Saleslogix. Other positions at Interact Commerce (before Sage acquired in 2001) included various executive roles in sales and marketing for Saleslogix and ACT! product lines.
Prior to Sage Software & Interact Commerce, Brandon co-founded Aprivity, a technology start-up aimed to improve software usability, where he executed the companies' capital formation and go-to-market strategy. Zeuner has been a part of several tech startups and currently occupies founder and advisory roles with Republic Project, PeopleJar, CompleteXRM (makers of Franklin Covey's PlanPlus Online), Consulting MO, Medelis, Infinity Info Systems and Qlutch.
Other tech advisory boards that Zeuner has served on include uSuggest and Priasoft, where he was brought on to help with initial launch strategies.
