    Hi Brian and thanks for your message. Facebook's present published authentication API for desktop applications requires that you enter your username and password before the application can proceed to do its work on your behalf. You should never give your username/password to any untrusted source. An application's listing in the facebook app directory should help you gain some amount of trust in the application as it has been reviewed by facebook staff before being approved.     I agree with Brian regarding his concern. I found out that Facebook simply went ahead and sent invites to people who I do not even know... simply because they were in a chain of recipients of messages forwarded to me! AND... even invited people who I do not care to communicate with (whom I have sent messages to stating exactly that I do not wish to have anything to do with them). The action of Facebook (sending invites using MY name to these people) has given the impression that I was not "sincere" in my previous message of "rejection"... made me look kinda "flaky", and I did not appreciate it.

    as you know anyways, data is being sold all over the place, nowt is safe, my friends had money stolen from their banks like £1,000 odd and it makes u wonder wot support there is out thier to help these victims
