Yeah I very rarely game and this one I will definitely be looking forward to buying. It's been years since I played Armageddon cuz I lost my copy. I think I'll wait for this version to come out since I'm running Windows 7 now. Etc etc.

Any further news on this? PC owners have been kept waiting indefinitely and it would be great if you could release details when the PC version will become available! We can't wait much longer!

Shove it out on Steam then

Nils wroteon September 26, 2009 at 2:23pm
Yeah Martin, that isn't actually the problem. Team17 already informed us the game will be shoved on Steam.

Maybe there is no problem. Maybe they're still developing and there's really nothing interesting to say.
How much time could it take to port a game from one console to another one? How long was Team17 developing for Worms: Open Warfare to bring it on XBLA, PSN and Iphone as well?
I don't know that, but it was rather a year than only three months :D so I think we can be happy if it already appears in octover...

Any news, yet? It's been almost a month since last reply (call me anxious and exaggerating)!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just say if it will be released this year or not. That's all I want. December 31st is fine and, PLEASE don't rush it! Don't let all these people rushing you make you rush it and kill it, polish it up, beta test, take all bugs out, and maybe add a bit more features, and then release it December 31st on Steam. Then later on you can release the hard copies.

No Mike, no news yet. As you say, no point rushing it. When it does get released it will be via Steam.

I know LOADS of people who don't like steam at all, and won't buy the game from Steam. They would rather pirate your game than buy it off steam, even though they are a hardcore Worms fan. (just check your forum) Is there nothing you can do to release it on another digital release platform, also? Like Impluse, possibly?

Why would you hate steam - it's an amazing service - no CDs to worry about - can redownload easily after a HD format. I never understood all the Steam hate. It was one of the first great cloud computing companies of our time.

They argue that "in the EULA or whatever, it says that they have the right to take your game away from you whenever they want, so that means we haven't really bought the game, we are just long-term renting it."
then that "we have to keep steam on in order to play our games, which uses up resources"
and those euros say: "the currency conversion is wrong for other countries. 1 EU DOES NOT equal 1 USD"
"If they release a hard copy I will buy it, otherwise I won't. I aint tying my games to some "online" service." I'm sure he would buy it from impulse, though. He said he would, before.

Well never say never, but at least to start with because we self publish these days the cost to us is a lot lower releasing digitally and the amount of profit per until makes more buisness sense for us at this time.
