Crisps were first invented in the U.S. but the flavouring of them began in Dublin, Ireland. The Irish Mr. Tayto was the first, and the Northren Tangdergee castle is merely a fairytale with no factual evidence.

They certainly did,, then after the settlement of all things tayto, they came up north, drew a border, re-invented the "Cheese and Onion" brand (the irish version taste more like spring onion) and there ya have it.. a nation was born..
