I've gotten more mileage out of bookmarks than any other tool in my promotion toolbox.
I don't know how many books they've helped to sell, but I teach classes on writing and I always print my upcoming class schedule and registration info on the back. I know I've increased class enrollment by 50% by handing out the bookmarks whenever I have a book signing or other event.
