Every day I face the same dilemma: two giant refrigerators full of all kinds of soda, juice, milk, flavored sparkling water... to say nothing of the Starbucks machine lurking in the corner, tempting me with fresh coffee and delicious cocoa. And they're all free! Well, I suppose as work dilemmas go, this isn't a bad one to have. ;-)
Today's lunchtime winner was lemon sparkling water, but I think there's a diet Cherry Coke in my future for a mid-afternoon caffeine boost. Tomorrow could be apple juice, or the black raspberry sparkling water, or Dr. Pepper, or, well. You get the idea.
How about you? Do you have a steady favorite or are you as fickle as I am? :)

Talking Rain (blue) is my perennial favorite. Just don't drink it during a meeting (burp!) ;-) I also love the cocoa from the Starbucks machine. Yum.

I love the cocoa from the Starbucks machine too.
And I like the steam milk, chocolate milk, orange and apple juice. Those were my daily "must-drink" at the time I was at Microsoft. :-D

The Peach (+ something else?) Talking Rain. Unfortunately it's a sometimes treat, since in Boise the distributor can't get it... or so they say. The truth? The distributor's employees drink it all.
But we have something else. To find out what, well, you'll just have to visit the Boise office.

Peach Talking Rain.... a coworker and I had a little drink contest. How many of these fav bevies we could consume in a 6hr window. The sad news is I lost by 3, 26 was the winning count. Too many cold beverages do funny things to your brain, like pretty much shut it down. The fun side is that we made some fancy charts in Excel outlining our consumption and, ahem, redemption rates.

I almost always drink Earl Grey tea. Even in hot weather! The other option is cold water. Yes, the kind from the tap. I have an aversion to bottled water. It bothers me to create so much waste.

MILK!! Non-fat milk. It’s the best! I can have cereal every morning and it’s a great afternoon snack! I left Microsoft for a bit to work for another tech company and they did not provide any free milk. It was disaster - I gained 15 pounds, I swear, because of it. I'm back now and reveling in my free non-fat Milk. It’s a weird obsession I know, but it keeps me healthy.
Thanks Microsoft for keeping me fit and trim.

I've started experimenting with drink mixes: 2 orange juice + 1 orange soda (or as I call it, Orange Overload), or 1 apple juice + 1 cherry coke. That way I get the caffeine of soda while pretending to have the health benefits of juice.

Ever since I was a little kid visiting my dad at work, Fresca's taste has meant Microsoft to me. Having said that, I drank a lot of the lemon-lime Talking Rain (I think I like the unsweetened-ness of it?) and WAY too much Cranberry juice (I tried to cut back once I realize how many calories they had, but I just replaced it with other stuff).
The cocoa is delicious but I typically found it both too hot and not quite as creamy as I like, which I solved by mixing it with chocolate milk. Same chocolatey taste (more really, since I'd drink the rest of the box of milk too), more creamy beverage, and no burned tongue.

The Starbucks coffee machines are the best and a quick shot of grapefruit juice in the morning helps get me ready for all those emails.

My colleague turned me on to a great new tea combo - herbal mint + herbal lemon. Refreshingly zingy - and you can use the tea bags twice so it's not really double-dipping.
