Thought I'd see if anyone's out there. I have had numerous conversations with lots of people about this subject ranging from fellow artists to current students as well as total beginners, crafter/hobbyists. its a subject worth serious and CALM cordial discussion. Keep it civil folks!
Honestly, what do you feel about copying either an artists work? Maybe the piece in a how-to book that they've published, or maybe its a teacher's work who you've taken a workshop with. Do you feel its alright to completely copy the work verbatim? Do you feel its then okay to sell it as your own? And why? How do you feel when you think others have copied you? What did you do? What do you think artists should do?
