Sitting quietly in a room so cluttered she is almost missed at first glance; Esther Davis peels tomatoes as a single fan stirs the stifling heat around her. Davis, 87, has lived in her 100 year old home on Red Bennett ...Road in rural Scott County since it was moved there in 1970.

kevin powell has become a joke. he criticizes institutions and not the things we do to ourselves. we cant blame someone else for our killing each other, selling drugs to one another, having babies out of wedlock, and owning a 60inch plasma when you're living on public assistance.

enough talk about them, those, and the other. we need to start the work of doing, living, being, and rebuilding our communities. all the finger pointing and complaining has to stop.

Will, I don't really think you know much about Kevin Powell. I know the brother personally and he does speak on us taking responsibility of our own actions. What you have to understand is the instituions are set so we can't see who is pulling the strings.
