Acts 17:16 In the 1st century, the newly converted apostle Paul challenged a highly educated gathering in Athens with the Gospel. His speech has become a model for anyone who shares the good news of Jesus.

Acts 9:1 It’s one of the most dramatic spiritual conversions in all of the Bible—if not in human history—when Saul, the antagonistic Jew who had shunned, mocked and chided those who followed Jesus turned his life over to Christ. Alis...

The root of Saul's problem was not his intellect, but his will. The reason for Saul's opposition to Christianity was the same for many today.... He knew he'd have to bow down before the Lordship of Christ!

What happened to Saul was a "Divine Revelation", for only God's power can take an indifferent and rebellious heart and transform it. Faith ... See Morewould replace his ignorant unbelief, and love would replace his violent aggression. Without Grace, love and faith would be impossible... Without love and faith, there is no evidence of a work of grace.

A good afternoon to you on this sunny Tuesday afternoon! 55 degrees today winds from the northeast.... (: <---left handed smile.
Always a great way to start off in conversation! The modest story of Philip and the Ethiopian seems insignificant, and can easily be passed up in search of more essential Biblical passages...But, when Gods Spirit takes ... See Morea hold of us, we are prompted to seek Him through the plain things as well as the main things! Each step brings us closer and closer to the knowledge and truth of our Lord Jesus Christ!

I support your decision not to sign. It is unfortunate that the document incorporates several unorthodox theological perspectives to which I, too, could not subscribe. Although I support its goals, I also think the document includes some questionable statistics, weak arguments, and gratuitous attacks on the current executive branch and other ... See Moreperceived opponents. Some of these reflect a fundamental misunderstanding of American civics and of the legal regime in which we are operating. I wish well-meaning Christians would operate politically with even half the sophistication of, say, the NRA or the AMA.

Acts 8:26 We read at the end of the gospel accounts that Jesus sent His followers out into the world to share the Good News “in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Today, Alistair Begg discusses what that looked like for the 1st century bel...

Alistair’s teaching is clear here:

“Most people are not really engaged in the bible at all, but to the person who is beginning to ask the questions, this is an indication that God is at work within them!” It is a great day when scripture starts to make sense to us and questions begin to stir in our hearts…

The Ethiopian man was interested and motivated to learn God’s word, this was a great opportunity for Philip to proclaim the Gospel! Since the life of Jesus is a verifiable life, we must simply state the facts and avoid describing our own personal experiences or feelings, since it is "irrelative unless it is based on objective reality." ... The true Christian message does not follow the culture by stating beliefs and values, but in asking people to consider facts!

It was the author of Ecclesiastes who wrote, “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth before the days of trouble come.” Those insightful words are the basis for Alistair Begg’s message from Ecclesiastes 12 today on Truth For Life Weekend.

How many times has Jesus reached out to us in our own unbelief, distrust, and impatience. If we recognize this in ourselves, we need to tolerate it in others. Jesus is all powerful! We trust in him to give us victory over the storms we face... when our faith is weak, hearts broken, weary spirits, anxious souls.

Aaron Shust's "Watch Over Me":
"You watch over me in the darkest valleys
You watch over me when the night seems long... See More
You help me to see the way before me
You watch over me; You watch over me
Even though I walk through this shadow of death
You will guide and defend me
You’ll guard and protect me..."
