Francine Price Gee, I would love to go to this too--I even know who I'd stay with since Phoenix isn't that far from Tucson and I haven't been in Arizona in 34 years.

Tucson Festival of Books Attending author, Linda Himelstein, makes BusinessWeek Magazine's best books of 2009 list for "The King of Vodka: The Story of Pyotr Smirnov and the Upheaval of an Empire". Be sure to look for her at the Festival.

The year's best books take on the Great Recession, the reasons we work, and more.

Les Edgerton Thanks for the invite, Mark. I'm becoming a fan and just wish I could attend. Good luck with exposure of your book there. I'll be in Arizona myself in April as the speaker for Microburst, the writing festival for Phoenix College.

Mark Sadler I just signed up the for Author's Pavilion on Saturday. Looking forward to selling you all my book, Blood on His Hands. www.markpsadler.com

Maryann Ozimkowski Merry Christmas Gail!!!! I like that I was reminded of this great event...maybe I will see you there?

Susan Weidener This is the most awesome event... last year Billy Collins was the main event, but there were free workshops on writing techniques, getting an agent, book signings and more all under flawless blue skies with temps in the high 80s. A must for authors and would-be authors who want to combine their love of writing with the beauty of the Southwest.

Kimberly Schmitz Luis Urrea will be back for the 2010 event. He's a Pulizer Prize finalist for non-fiction whose works include Hummingbird’s Daughter and The Devil’s Highway. Urrea's national best-seller "Devil's Highway," a nonfiction account of Mexican immigrants lost in the Arizona desert, won the 2004 Lannan Literary Award and was ...a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the Pacific Rim Kiriyama Prize.

There are some amazing authors already committed to TFOB! Phil Caputo will be here. He's a Pulitzer Prize—winning author and journalist. His travels have taken him to Sudan, Kenya, Somalia, and Tanzania, and from those experiences he fashioned his novel "Acts of Faith". A stunning and timely epic, it tells the stories... of pilots, aid workers, missionaries, and renegades struggling to relieve the misery wrought by the civil war in Sudan. Caputo He served in Vietnam as a Marine lieutenant; his first book, RUMOR OR WAR, drew directly on his experiences, but the themes of war's dehumanizing aspects and the capacity for evil that everyone possesses are constants in all his books. Learn more about him @ http://www.biblio.com/author_biographies /2010132/Philip_Caputo.html

Eleanor This is a great event and I hope to participate this year with a booth to introduce the writing community to The Writers Studio. It was great to be there last year. Eleanor Kedney
