Governor Schwarzenegger knows the value of higher education. He's also facing a continuing state budget challenge. It is important that we take this time to remind the governor that UC is not a luxury or a "cost." Rather, to quote one of my predecessors, it is an investment - the best investment this state can make in ...its future. If you agree, now is the time to let the governor know. Follow the link to send him an e-mail today.Read More

UCI Alumni Association Alumnus Neil Sahota '97 wants to know about some of the places you’ve found a fellow Anteater. He's run into Anteaters I’ve never even known at airports (including Chancellor Drake twice), at restaurants, at sailing races, etc. However, the most unexpected place was at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. How about you? Any interesting places?

UCI Alumni Association UCI alum Mark Keam elected to Virginia House of Delegates. Zot, Zot!
On Tuesday, November 3, 2009, I was elected to be the next Delegate from the 35th District to the Virginia House of Delegates. I live in Vienna with my wife, Alex, and our two children, Tyler and Brenna, who both attend Marshall Road Elementary. After graduating from law school 14 years ago, I moved to Northern Virgi...nia to work for the federal government. I was an attorney at the Federal Communications Commission, and later, was a policy counsel at the Small Business Administration. There, I fought to create a level playing field for women-owned businesses and minority enterprises. When President Clinton left office, I moved to Capitol Hill to serve as Chief Counsel to Democratic Senator Dick Durbin on the Senate Judiciary Committee. There, I helped fight the right wing agenda of the Bush Administration, including many of their judicial appointments. I’ve lived the American Dream. I was born in Korea and lived in Vietnam and Australia as a young boy before my family immigrated to America. We came here with nothing, but we were provided many opportunities. Now, I want a chance to give back to the community that has given so much to me and to my family. Read More
