The UConn Alumni Association announces the launch of the Roll of Honor website, which memorializes UConn alumni who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation. The purpose of the website is to chronicle the Ultimate Sacrifice Memorial and the Roll of Honor, to share them with a wider audience, to let friends... and families know that their loved ones are not forgotten, and to provide an opportunity to nominate those alumni who may be missing from the roll. UConn Alumni Association The UConn community is invited to a "Celebration of the Life of Jasper Howard" on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Jorgensen Theater on the Storrs campus. Howard, a UConn student and athlete, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009. The celebration will provide the greater University community an opportunity to remember Howard through speakers, music, pictures and videos.

Football cornerback who embodies leadership qualities, and the "The Jasper
Howard Fund" will raise money to help the Howard family with funeral
costs, travel expenses, and support for Howard's unborn child.

In memory of UConn football student-athlete Jasper Howard, the Division of Athletics has established two funds for those who wish to express their support. Funeral arrangements for Howard, who died on Oct. 18, have also been announced.

Early Sunday morning, UConn lost one of its students to an act of violence. Jasper Howard, junior, was a devoted son, friend, and promising student-athlete. The Alumni Association offers condolences in this time of loss.
