Lecture by Alejandra Rincón, Ph.D., the author of a forthcoming book entitled “Undocumented Immigrants and Higher Education: Sí se puede!”. Dr. Rincón will discuss the historic struggle of undocumented students and their supporters to gain equal access to higher education through in-state tuition laws. Thes...e efforts, which have been successful in ten states thus far, are the current expression of past civil rights struggles and may have broader implications for the population as a whole.
