UNC Dance Marathon
Come celebrate with us as over 1,800 students gather for the culmination of our year-long fundraising efforts in support of the patients and families of North Carolina Children's Hospital!

As the university's largest student-led fundraiser, the UNC Dance Marathon has raised over $1.6 million since its inception in 1998.... The 24-hour Marathon, featuring a “Rock ‘N’ Roll” theme this year, will not only include student dancers and volunteers, but also around-the-clock entertainment from campus and community performance groups, guest speakers, varsity athletes, and—of special note—current and former patients and families of the Children's Hospital.

Come cheer on your friends late Friday night and during the day on Saturday, and check out our closing ceremonies as we reveal our fundraising grand total Saturday night!

Where will you be when the university stops and stands for the kids? Hope to see you there!

Sign up to be a Moraler or Volunteer at the UNC Dance Marathon and do your part to support the patients and families of the North Carolina Children’s Hospital!

A Moraler is someone who pledges to motivate and encourage the dancers of the Marathon. As a Moraler, you commit to standing on your feet for a 6-hour shift t...o bring inspiration to the hundreds of dancers who have pledged to stand for 24 hours! If you have friends dancing this year, or are looking for a way to get involved without the 24-hour commitment, then Moraling is for you!

Volunteers are an integral part of the Marathon and contribute to its overall success year after year. Volunteers help the Marathon run more smoothly and efficiently, and ensure a level of cohesiveness that would otherwise not be possible. All volunteer shifts last approximately 3 hours. Responsibilities are grounded in logistical operations, and include tasks such as stage maintenance, housekeeping, facilities, security and meal distribution.

Sign up this week... it's For the Kids!
