Church of the United Brethren in Christ
Youth workers from United Brethren churches throughout the US will gather in Florida April 26-30 for the annual UB Youth Workers Summit. It's a great time for networking with fellow youth workers, sharing ideas, and learning how to do it better.
The Summit is held at First UB church in Holly Hill, Fla. The registration ...fee is:
* Before April 1: $90.
* After April 1: $110.
The registration fee covers the cost of:
* Materials
* Speakers
* Lodging (the church has lodging facilities, so there are no hotel costs).
All breakfasts and lunches (some dinners will be on your own).
The facilities provide twin beds, but you need to bring your own bedding, pillow, and towels.
Because of space limitations, this is designed for the "lead" youth worker at churches. Send the person who leads your youth ministry, whether fulltime, part-time, or volunteer. It's a great chance to rub shoulders with other UB youth workers and gain insights to help you minister more effectively to your teens.
Note: This event isn't designed as a bring-your-spouse event. Your registration fee includes deluxe lodging at First UB Church in bunkhouse-style rooms. Due to the type of rooms at the church, married couples are difficult for us to accommodate.
In addition, networking with other youth pastors is a key component of what we’re trying to achieve at the Summit. It’s often difficult for us to accomplish that type of networking when spouses are present. Don’t get us wrong--we think marriage is a fabulous institution, but this event is intended solely for youthworkers themselves.

We need more people who are trained to lead mission teams. If you have ever led a team, you know how complex a responsibility it truly is--much more than just preparing for the task. The CultureLink™ materials provide the tools and insights necessary to prepare travelers' hands, heads, and hearts before they go.
Ministe...rs: This training qualifies as a CEU. National Conference ministers are required to earn four CEUs per year.

* Anyone who might like to become a team leader.
The cost is $60. Because of the interactive nature of the instruction, we are limiting the number of participants to 54 persons. Registration is due two weeks beforehand.

Church of the United Brethren in Christ
General Conference is the international gathering of United Brethren people. Each of the nine national conferences are entitled to send two delegates: the conference's highest leader, and one other person. For the United States, the delegates will be Bishop Phil Whipple and Jeff Bleijerveld, Director of Global Ministri...es.
Honduras Conference will host this General Conference at the Bethel School in La Ceiba.
This is the first General Conference to be held outside of North America, and the first to be hosted by a non-English speaking country.
Observers and advisors may attend General Conference at their own expense or the expense of their national conference.
Here are the nine national conferences.

8. Sierra Leone

In addition, there may be representatives from some of the mission districts--countries where we have churches, but which aren't yet organized into a national conference. Those include: Haiti, India, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Thailand.
