Gloria great session last night! Looking forward to the next one :-)

United Diversity
The goal of the Transition Sessions project is to write and record an album and play that tells the story of how humanity rose to the challenges of climate, energy and economic uncertainty, overcame the domination of Empire and grew an Earth Community founded on partnership based relationships.
After two lovely events ...so far, this month we're going to try and take the event to the next level...
Everyone who attends will be given a bunch of key words/ concepts and encouraged to participate in the jam session by shouting out and sharing stories of positive change in their own communities.
We're all in this story and play together. We are the actors and the world is our stage. Lets all live the story we're trying to tell. Together We Have Everything.
Entry: FREE - donation most welcome
Doors open 7.30pm
Film: 8pm A Farm for the Future.
Probably the best/ most important. thing that's been on TV this millennium!
Wildlife film maker Rebecca Hosking investigates how to transform her family's farm in Devon into a low energy farm for the future, and discovers that nature holds the key.
With her father close to retirement, Rebecca returns to her family's wildlife-friendly farm in Devon, to become the next generation to farm the land. But last year's high fuel prices were a wake-up call for Rebecca. Realising that all food production in the UK is completely dependent on abundant cheap fossil fuel, particularly oil, she sets out to discover just how secure this oil supply is.
Alarmed by the answers, she explores ways of farming without using fossil fuel. With the help of pioneering farmers and growers, Rebecca learns that it is actually nature that holds the key to farming in a low-energy future.
Jam session after film featuring:
Sam Ritchie and band

An intimate little get together to kick off United Diversity's Transition Sessions project.
The
aspiration for the Transition Sessions project it to create a new album
(a...nd maybe stage show too) of timeless freedom songs that tell the
story of how humanity rose to the challenges of of climate, energy and
economic uncertainty, overcame the domination of Empire and created an
Earth Community built on partnership based relationships.
Food from the Treehouse Cafe
Film: Power of Community - How Cuba Survived Peak Oil
Jam session with:
Joe Driscoll http://www.myspace.com/joedriscoll
Dizraeli http://www.myspace.com/dizraeli
Sam from http://www.myspace.com/qdosmusic
Josh and Greg from http://www.myspace.com/furcats
plus guests.
Note,
this is mostly just a get together for artists to get to know about
each other and not really a public gig as such. There will no doubt be
some intimate amazing spontaneous stuff happening though. Such is the nature of United Diversity gatherings, such great acts and the wonderful venue that is Passing Clouds :)Read More
