SPEAKER:Kim K. Dernovsek, MD, Associate Clinical Professor, Departments of Dermatology and Family Practice, Univers...ity of Colorado Health Sciences Center, practices dermatology in Pueblo, Colorado and serves as director/medical advisor of Universal Chastity Education www.uceglobal.org operating in Uganda, Burundi and Tanzania. She has lectured annually since 2001 at the American Academy of Dermatology national meeting about the medical necessity of an STD prevention strategy shift from risk reduction to risk elimination. In addition to speaking nationally and internationally, she has been named by peers to Best Doctors in America consecutively 1996-2010, is a recipient of Women’s Dermatologic Society Career Enhancement Award (2003), American Academy of Dermatology Leadership Circle for Volunteerism (2004) and the National Abstinence Clearinghouse Medical Impact Award (2006). Dr. Dernovsek has recently authored a chapter for the upcoming (2010) medical textbook, Preventive Dermatology.
