Hi
All! I am an MSW from CT and want to let everyone know about a site I founded for social workers called My Social Work Network
(www.mysocialworknetwork.com). It's a free site kind of like Facebook,
but specifically made to fit the needs of social workers. You can
search thousands of social work jobs, network with other ...social workers
who share your interests, shop for books, and much more. As social
workers, we know everything is about our network -from finding the
perfect job, to creating social change. If you feel the site adds value
to our profession, please help to spread the word!

Social workers have been portrayed on television and in films for
decades. However, despite the positive and life-affirming work that
social workers do in reality, their image in the media is often
stereotyped.
The National Association of Social Workers is now
offering its 150,000 members a way to comment on and shape the w...ay
social work is depicted in news, television, film and on the Web.
Today we are launching www.SocialWorkersSpeak.org
This engaging, social media web site will give you the latest news on
how social work is portrayed in the media and offer social workers a
chance to comment on media happenings in their communities. We will
also give you tips on how to get involved and help shape the media
perception of social work.
