Hi guys,
we are a group of exchangestudents from SFU who would like to make a hike in the Garibaldi/Whisler area next Weekend. Does anybody now a real good hike there for this weekend. No one of us has a car so it would be perfect if someone could give us a hint how to get there (cheap ;) ). We aren't really sure if we ...should try a one or two day hike. Are there hikes for 2 days up there where you can stay somewhere (at least kind of save ;) )?
Last weekend we took the Diez Vistas Trail and it was so awesome ... thank you so much for your site, it is really a big help to find good trails.Read More

Vancouver Trails has been featured in an article in Vancouver's Chinese newspaper, Ming Pao. The article talks about some autumn hiking options including Buntzen Lake, Alice Lake, and The Lions...

Stephen Olson Love the Site...hopefully all will continue very successfully. Working to the best for all to exercise and keep fit!

It's a great time of year to do longer hikes with more elevation. There is no snow, the temperature is a bit cooler, and the views are incredible. Just make sure to leave yourself enough time as the day light hours are shorter. Black Tusk is a great option for this weekend: http://www.vancouvertrails.com/trails/bl ack-tusk/

The trail to Black Tusk is a spectacular mountain hike located in Garibaldi Provincial Park, south of Whistler, BC.

just returned from a stunning Widgeon Lake hike last night. It was a gorgeous place to wake up but getting there proved to be exhausting. With overnight packs on our backs the last 1.5 hours of the steep and rooty ascent seemed to last forever only to be met with an overgrown trail at the top, hidden by dew soaked blue...berry plants (and thankfully sweet tasty blueberries!). The trail approaching the lake is also badly in need of some shrub clearance. Places to pitch the tent on the lake are limited but we managed to squeeze 3 2-person tents on a little spit reaching into the lake. Canoes and epic waterfalls add interesting dimensions to the trip as well. Well worth it if you've got the stamina!Read More
